UNGUARDED
Being a girl makes me feel disregarded,
As I am highly left unguarded.
Where I am asked how to dress,
Leaving me full of distress.
I am asked to adjust,
In a world with men full of lust.
I am viewed as an object of sex,
Which makes me reflect upon my self.
My soul feels the tremendous effects,
Caused due to mindsets with cumulative defects.
My society is ruled by patriarchy,
Causing an extreme anarchy .
When the laws of my safety are not legitimized,
I feel highly victimized.
They say act like a girl,
Talk like a girl,
Behave like a girl,
Well, I say, lets act like girls,
Lets fight like girls,
Lets get fearless,
Lets be tearless,
Let's grow strong,
And prove them all wrong.
After all being a girl makes me feel disregarded,
As I am highly left unguarded.
